We can correct the smallest scratch, watermark or undertake a complete build and restoration. Our services include repairs and restoration to antique and modern furniture. Antique Furniture Restoration
We take pleasure in spending our time and skills to return treasured pieces of antique furniture back to their former glory. If your precious antique furniture has a problem with its finish - stains, scratches, flaking, water damage, fire damage, peeling or missing veneer, etc. we will be able to restore and refinish it. We are specialists in stripping old finishes from furniture and re-applying a suitable finish to restore your antique furniture to a pristine condition. Estimates are provided free of charge and most pieces can usually be collected, taken to our workshop and returned within ten working days.

Antique Finishes
Today's French polishes are more durable than our ancestors could have believed. Sprayed lacquers offer a whole range of tough finishes that can be packed and delivered within hours of completion. Wax is still appropriate in many cases. We use a range of traditional and modern techniques to produce the finest quality finishes, these include:

Traditional French polishing
Hand applied shellac finishes
Wax polish
Lacquer finishes including polyurethane
Water based and spirit staining
Colour washes
Limed oak finishes
Oil finishes

Leathering and Baize
Desks, Secretaires, Davenports, etc can be transformed using only the finest hides and scivers, which can be hand dyed to your choice of colour and enhanced by a variety of gold leaf tooling. We also offer a full baizing service.

Antique Furniture Damage/Insurance Quotes
We provide a service advising on antique damaged items, compiling information for insurance companies whether from flood, fire, removal or storage.

Antique Cabinet Making
We offer a full range of cabinet making skills including structural repairing, matching and repairing of veneers, marquetry work and repairs, wood carving and wood turning. We only use traditional techniques with a selection of quality period timbers and veneers. We can also copy and repair original carvings and turnings to replace missing parts, missing veneers, moldings, legs or feet replaced in keeping with the original.

Upholstery
Upholstery to wooden framed furniture normally wears as the polished wood around it does. Sometimes upholstery will start to wear before the wood - maybe two chairs out of a set of six have had more use than the others. We can replace upholstery to wooden furniture, matching existing fabrics or giving you the choice from a wide range of quality new ones. Re-upholstery to the likes of dining room suites and bar stools is an economical, tailor made alternative to replacing old with new. We use Warwick Fabrics as they have a very wide range of high quality fabrics.

Antique Collection and Delivery
Full collection and delivery service is provided if required, ensuring that your valuable antique furniture is handled with the utmost care and attention. You are also welcome to drop items off directly at our antique restoration workshop in West Leederville, Perth.
